A number of mediums were beautiful young women and a large part of the appeal was for (male) sitters to be with them in the dark ;)

I am so fascinated with Victorian & Edwardian spiritualism. Within the past couple of years I’ve read a couple of nonfiction books on the subject as well as a dozen or so fictional books (it’s like a mini-trend right now). Really fascinating stuff. I think it’s interesting how now we think of ghosts & things like…
Hmmm. I thought they were legally required to keep “Family” in the name?
That is a theory. I’m not personally convinced though. Witch hunts were fairly commonplace in the Western World at that point of time and the Salem Witch Trials were just another in a long line. And as this modern case demonstrates, you don’t have to have an illness to accuse someone of witchcraft - you can just be a…
I mean, there are rumors of child pedophile rings in Hollywood, so I assume a lot of these pedophiles know each other and provide each other access to children :[
Imagine the teen drama this will create. One girl will buy bracelets for all of her “closest” friends, but will inevitably snub one or two girls. Friendship war ensues.
Huh. That seems about right to me for Wisconsin (even in Madison). But I only lived in Wisconsin for a couple of years, so probably others have a better idea than I do.
How much is it valued at now?
When Game Change came out I was a political science major in undergrad, and it was just so delicious to watch <3
Who cares what’s actually true? What matters is if it feels true.
How good was Game Change tho?
Rhymes with ‘mooncup’ - another type of menstrual cup out there. It’s also probably a pun for lune (=moon). You know, since some people think menstruation is tied to the lunar cycle.
A lot of orphanages wouldn’t even take children of unwed mothers. That’s why in Victorian England there were so called “baby farms”
Ewwwww. This guy is obviously trying to look for his MPDG, but I hate to break it to him - they don’t actually exist :/
Though weirdly, I’m not really into Difficult People. I watched 2 or 3 episodes, but haven’t tried to watch more. Does it get funnier? I feel like it’s sort of depressing and mean-spirited and isn’t funny enough to overcome that. But lots of other people seem to like it.
Ooh, that actually sounds interesting. Idk, but I’m not really interested in watching a sitcom about a retired athlete.
I don't disagree. Just explaining why she may have thought it a good idea.
An explanation for ‘Hello Kitty’ is that she’s big in Japan. Like, really, not a joke. She’s not huge here in the States anymore (idk about her native Canada), but her albums tend to top the charts at #1 or #2 when they’re released in Japan.
I thought you were joking, but nope. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
Haha, no problem. I could have given you a short summary, but I felt like 4chan has so much baggage that a little paragraph doesn’t quite do them justice.
