Just to add a little for clarification, I firmly believe that ‘mutual abuse’, or at least ‘mutual toxicity’ in relationships is very much a thing and that they were both guilty. Marvel Heroes was honestly one of the best D2 clones to date, and it still pisses me off that they’ve killed it entirely. They didn’t even release the source code for archiving, it’s just... dead. I will add that I am a huge fan of the original. I saw it in the theaters the weekend it opened (I’m old). I knew I was not going to get that, and it would be silly to expect it. I got a loving homage to the original, and I’m OK with that.
