I literally just had a case today where CPS wanted to remove my clients' foster child from their care after 2.5 years and place with a relative. The attorney for CPS argued, with a straight face, that yes their will be trauma to the child, but the trauma is ok because the child would be placed with a blood relative.

I too am an attorney in the child welfare world and have the same questions, concerns and reservations. I feel so torn about this case and mostly feel terrible for that little girl. She has had three trauma inducing placement changes during the peak of her attachment building years. Her life moving forward is not

OMG golden puppies - reminds me of mine when she came home. Makes me want to get a friend for her. She's now four years old (with the personality of a puppy) and forever and always wants me to take her out to play ball instead of letting me work...

This still happens. 1L year we had the orientation evening for the appellate competition and when the subject of dress code came up the ladies were told, very clearly, that if we chose to wear pants we would be scored down. This damn near detailed the whole thing as the ladies - who represented the greater

Kiehl's has an amazing sunscreen. I have terrible combo skin and break out at the thought of a French fry, but that sunscreen has never caused a zit.
