It is normal for a front-runner to be trailing in a few polls. Polls only represent the opinions of the people they are polling and depending on the type of audience of the polling agency it will reflect their general outlook on politics. I have followed the polls for months now, been checking them several times a

Hillary has consistently been the most honest candidate in both the primaries and the main election according to all major fact-checking sites and she has been fact-checked far more than any of the other candidates. So why are you questioning her integrity?

Also what was she supposed to do about a leak like this? I

I have heard people say that for a long time. I am not in the US so my only source for primaries polls is the internet, various polling sites and google, etc. I found a few polls here and there that polled Bernie better against Donald, but most favored Hillary. So I kept asking people to which polls they were

There is no way he would have won it. His campaign was a mess and former staffers of his eventually ended up creating super PACs for him, but they wouldn’t call them super PACs. They did not go through the cooling off period so what they did was totally illegal.
Also a lot of Sanders supporters failed to register in

In my country (The Netherlands) they started this at 15. Over and over again they asked me what I wanted to do with my life, what school I want to go to, what I want to study, how do I want my life to turn out so that it made me feel crazy. I never said it out loud then, but what I was really thinking was: “I don’t

I pursued a career that was in line with my personal interests twice now and both times I have become unhappy and disillusioned and what’s worse is that I have stopped enjoying these pursuits in my spare time. I spent so much time and energy at work doing a job related to my interests, that when I come home I don’t

All of gender is a social construct. Identity/expression has very little to do with it. Sex is innate and it’s purely the biological and in humans unalterable features that make us either male or female. Everything else is just dictated by society to create an artificial distinction that feels real to people, but it

Why is it hard to open up to people? No need to add extra variables. This shit is hard always.

I get it. I don’t either, which is why I mostly stay on the periphery of such “debates.” I was just recommending the book, because I found it funny and enjoyable to read.

Have you read Delusions of Gender by Cordelia Fine? It does a great job of debunking all claims with regards to innate gender-identity. There is no such thing.

Also it is very telling that these so called innate gender feelings align perfectly with the gender expressions of the culture one is born into.

Not to mention

I just want to say that I am thankful you wrote this. It’s rare to see a repsonse with regards to transgender issues that’s well though out and balanced. I think you have been very respectful and don’t dersvere the insults people are throwing at you.

This whole issue baffels me. Why do people spend so much time

Unfortunately some schools and work places can force women to wear dresses and make-up. (Though the latter perhaps not in schools). I have protested this rule in my last workplace and I was lucky they relented, because they could have just fired me for refusing to adhere to the dress-code and there would not have been

Gloria Steinem wrote about Renee Richards in Outrages Acts and Everyday Rebellions. That is also the book that contains her article in the time she went undercover in a Playboy club.

I must say that Renee Richards’s story bears some striking similarities to Caitlyn Jenner’s story.

I couldn’t agree more. I am a woman, but I still don’t feel comfortable in a room with strangers with only stalls separating me doing my business from the other people doing theirs. I would also prefer to see single occupancy stalls.

The only downside of this would be men peeing all over the seat. Then again some

I must say that the rhetoric of transactivists initially confused me. They make it very clear the proper term is trans-gender and not trans-sexual. (That fact that human beings can’t actually change sex is a different discussion)

But gender is a social construct build from stereotypes of how the majority of people in

It makes me said, because I know that spirituality can be a great comfort for people during hard times. I know all major religions are inherently patriarchal and deny their female members full and sometimes even active participation, while at the same time telling them how to live their lives.

Sometimes I wonder if

I love that slogan. Nothing could be more true.

If I had all the moniez in the world, I’d want the following:

I find it hard to deal with the personal questions. I have zero interest in telling coworkers I just met a few days ago whether or not I am in a relationship. When I tell them directly to their faces that “I don’t want to discuss my personal life at work” I usually get angry responses like: “Then I will no longer

Word. I like her as Lorelai and I wish I could see her in more stuff besides the Gilmore Girls. It doesn’t matter what her face looks like or how she has aged. Plus, John Oliver thinks she is hot, so how much more endorsement could she need?
