Clinton is the first candidate I can remember, EVER, that sat at a major debate and actually repeatedly said the word abortion and that she was pro it. I cried watching it.

It’s almost like they’ll find some weird excuse to vote for a man over a woman

I really admired her for that. And, unfortunately, I feel like only a woman could have argued for it so damn well. I clapped for her in my living room when she brought it up.

I saw right through his game at the beginning... Those old-guard liberals who are SO hot for civil rights that they absolutely have to push women into the background, not let them speak out at the consciousness-raising-group meetings, & make them sit out the protests to stay behind making coffee & mimeographs. Take a

I did take courage and it went against the whole “clinton tests everything in front of a focus group” narrative.

Fuck that Magic Grandpa for calling us a ‘distraction’. We’re 50% of the goddamn human race, Bernie.

And yet when their one night stand gets knocked up and can’t get an abortion in time they’ll throw fits about potentially having to pay child support. The slut did it on purpose!

Too many young liberals, mostly male in my experience, do not think abortion access is a big deal. They don’t care. They don’t think it’s a serious issue. I mean Bernie Sanders himself claimed it was a distraction. I’ve got a big hearty fuck you to all those people.

Clinton stood at the third debate and argued for late term abortions. That took courage and conviction. Instead some liberals would vote for this guy who in the primaries claimed that if gay people were discriminated against, they shouldn’t sue over it because who wants to deal with that mess? They would cjoose THIS

It’s really weird. I graduate law school in ‘08 (i fucking know, right?!?) and I remember being really angry long before then because I realized how much the Baby Boomers had fucked my generation.

I think Obama’s not yelling and screaming because we don’t deserve it.

I am not going to get angry because he tried to stop the ugliness in politics, etc.

“Hey, we single-handedly beat the Germans in WWII.”

The fact that the Soviet Army did most of the heavy lifting against Germany in WWII ruins your point.

Frankly, I wouldn’t blame Clinton (or Obama) one bit if they just flipped us off and went and lived the rest of their lives in peace and luxury.

We are a very fucking fickle nation. We didn’t deserve the Obama’s. The cynical part of me thinks we actually deserve the 2 week old pumpkin spice latte as an overlord, just because there wasn’t enough of us that could simply rally around human decency.

Mandate won’t matter once he takes the oath of office. The powers of the presidency are the same regardless of the size of the victory. The only thing that tossing the election to the House does is further divide and demoralize the people. Otherwise, it accomplishes nothing except a pyrrhic victory of sorts.

Everything should be on 2018 and 2020 and going on with the “they stole it” is going to severely hamper all the analysis that has to be done to move on for what is important (every election out there) moving forward.

The system isn’t hacked at voting time. It’s hacked months or years in advance by state and local legislatures. This is my district. Texas 36. I live in SE Houston, one of the most diverse areas in country and generally pretty liberal (we have a black mayor now after having a lesbian mayor previously).

The problem is Trump and a Republican congress would need to want to seek out that proof. Since they don’t, we will never know unless whatever democrat gets elected in an increasingly hazy looking future wants to spend time and money investigating the 2016 election debacle.
