I came here to write this exact thing.

On the thigh rubbing front, I swear by BodyGlide, the wax runners use. You can get it at sports stores, and ti is perfect (and made for) this exact thing. Especially good for more casual outfits where you wouldn't want spanx.

Honestly, the best I've ever looked in a pair of jeans is the cropped maternity jeans that I had in college. At no point in my life have I been pregnant. We should all just embrace maternity jeans! They look good, and you can eat an enormous lunch (they don't work with cropped tops though, but I don't wear those).

I had to get mine on stub hub so our tickets were like $200 each, but the original price is $50ish each. Still worth it (although I did try to keep how much I spent on them a secret from my husband but it didn't work because I got drunk on the little champagne bottles they sold).

This is true on all counts, except that going to see her show (two tickets for WAY more money than I should have paid to be in the third to last row) was one of the truly great moments I've had. It was just SO SO SO fun. And actually being in the back was nice because then it wasn't obvious that she was lip syncing.

I don't remember everything, but I do feel like it got a little more detailed every year. I'm sure there was a bunch of Christian overtones, which I don't recall from the book itself at all, but the information, from what I can remember, was pretty accurate.

This sort of reminds me of in seventh grade sex ed (called "Fully Alive" at my Catholic school), when our teacher made all of the girls go around and say if they'd had their period or not. I get the idea - you don't need to be embarrassed to get your period, but in practice, it just really sucked, whether or not you'd

If she DID infect him, stealing her medical records and posting this to Facebook is still inexcusable. I agree that people should inform past partners if they've been exposed to infection, but I don't know that they have to do it themselves. If she followed the procedure where he would be anonymously informed, that is

What did she have to fear?! Maybe that he was a scumbag and would tell a bunch of other people her private business, which he did, very publicly after stealing it from a hospital. None of us know the entire story on this, so why you are assuming she gave this guy syphilis is beyond me. We have no idea. But as you

Are you joking? If the guy was so concerned, he could go get tested himself. First of all, no one knows if he was exposed at all. Second of all, it's possible he exposed her. She also very well could have been planning to use the anonymous informer service if she needed to tell anyone, which I would do too, since

I'm not denying that guys want sex. I just think what is taught is that girls aren't supposed to want it, and boys are supposed to want it constantly. And while I'm sure a lot of guys DO feel like they want it constantly, if they don't feel that way, it shouldn't seem like something is wrong. AND girls do want to have

I think getting a non-enthusiastic yes can mean someone feels that they are in more danger from saying no. This can also not be the case, but that is why it's important to teach everyone about enthusiastic consent. I think right now, girls are primarily taught to say no and boys are primarily taught that they're

I have read your comments, and I completely agree with you. The one thing I'll say is that I think the OP might be simplifying when writing "Hopefully she ups her advocacy to include telling men it is not okay to rape people." I think this means what you were saying, about changing the cultural message. I think it is

Saying "Obviously, men should be taught not to rape" makes it seem like it is obvious. It's not. Many men are never taught not to rape, which means that no matter WHAT you tell women not to do, those men still might try to rape them, even it's they are just in their office, coming from their car to their house, etc.

Actually, car drivers ARE taught not to hit motorcycles. In drivers' ed we were taught to give more car lengths in between ourselves and a person on a motorcycle. There are also large campaigns to bring awareness to car drivers about cyclists. So you're right, it IS really important to teach car drivers not to hit

Your bf is a genius. I love love love the idea of Latter Date!

Really?! Because I always sort of thought she and Triton had a sexual past together. Like even before I knew the phrase sexual past, I thought there was something between them....

Hold on, Kim Kardashian had a bridal shower?! Not only is this her third marriage, she is also rich as shit. Did she have a registry and gifts? I seriously cannot believe this. If celebrities are people too, how do they not have disapproving aunts who try to keep them from being so tacky?

Either way, I approve!

This is a really interesting theory! Thanks for sharing. I'd guess you're right.
