Um... And she’s literally overweight that’s the point.
Um... And she’s literally overweight that’s the point.
Ooohh sorry... The correct answer was: “You’re right, that’s bad too. Let’s stand together against this kind of stuff.”
Absolutely. No disagreement there.
I wasn’t clear enough. I was speaking in context to somebody who was post op.
That’s good info. We also have to take alot of things at face value. I mean it’s not like we have a transcript of what was said between the two. Nor do we know the patients history. I was more than prepared to believe the doctor did some things incorrectly or was even just a creepy asshole. But I try to not jump…
That’s what I was wondering. So many people responding to me don’t seem to be taking into account the patient was post op. I don’t pretend to know jack about that. But it seems like it could very easily be different for somebody born with that equipment as compared to somebody who had to have it created surgically.
Sorry, my question was in context to somebody who was post op. That would seem to possibly complicate things alot. Especially if the person has a history of them.
Good info. I’m not discounting the possiblity the doctor did some things wrong. But it seemed possible they didn’t. Aside from the comment about her surgery. Innocuous or not, the doctor probably should have known better.
Yeah. I don’t know much about the procedure aside from them taking the penis and turning it inside out to create the vaginal canal. But I have zero information about how they create the urethra for urinating. That just sounds...complicated. And it would seem ‘possible’ given my lack of knowledge that maybe it’s…
Good info. There just doesn’t seem to be enough info here to really say much, except regardless of intent, the doctor should have kept their opinion of the surgery to themselves. Even if it’s possible they were just making a clinical statement regarding a clinical operation. I have pancreatic cancer and have seen…
Fair enough. Good info.
Sure. We’re also expected to just take what information we gave at face value. The comment from the doctor was definitely unnecessary. They should have known better. Maybe he was a creep that said a creepy thing. Or maybe he was trying to be thorough and made a medical compliment about a medical procedure. I…
I get that. I should have stated I was speaking to the context of her being post op. I don’t know her medical history. And I’m 100% sure nobody else here does either. Maybe the doctor was incorrect. Maybe he was a creep that said a creepy thing. Or maybe he was trying to be thorough and made a medical compliment…
That’s what I’ve come to think about all this. That while there’s a good chance it was a mistake by the doctor to do the pelvic exam, nobody here knows enough information to state definitively. I’m not needlessly defending the doctor, but sometimes people jump to conclusions without knowing all the information.
I’m aware of that. I was speaking to the extents of it being a post op patient. Who seems to have a history of UTI’s. We don’t know her medical history. Perhaps the doctor shouldn’t have done that. Or maybe the doctor was trying to be thorough. /shrug
Great. So you would make that statement regarding a post op patient? Without knowing their medical history and what had been done prior? If you can categorically say that, then I’m onboard.
A vaginal examination is not routine for a UTI. Sooo... does that include somebody post op? I’m not needlessly defending the doctor here. I sure as hell don’t think the comment about her surgery was warranted. But people sure seem to wanna jump to conclusions when they don’t have all the information. I guess…
Really? That seems like a pretty absolute statement. Would you include post op patients in that?
Sure. Are you post op? Because that was the context of my question. I don’t know if what the doctor did was necessary or required. I’m not defending him, because I don’t have enough information. But I also don’t accuse if I don’t have enough information. Which seems to be the exception around here.
I say that because while I know that a UTI involves the urinary tract and not the vaginal canal, what I don’t know is how being post op might complicate things. I’m not trying to defend the doctor needlessly here. Which is why I asked the question. And yet people are jumping down my throat as if I was ready to high…
