No, it’s not believable. I hate to break it to you, but we’re actually moving away from the stuff that happens in the story all the time. Religion is not increasing, it’s decreasing, and so is its power over the masses.

What was on point about the message? Religion is not gaining in influence, just the opposite. We move further and further away from what happens in The Handmaid’s Tale every year that goes by.
