There’s so much variance in how to measure HP that it might really just be an honest mistake and under-promising and over-delivering.

1) The 15% loss is an extremely antiquated assumption. Modern drive trains are much more efficient.

It’s not hard to strip the DRM out of Amazon books. Get Calibre (free, open source) then find Apprentice Alf’s Tools.

I wouldn’t say “reigns supreme”, but it certainly gives a reason for it.
I personally buy a lot of digital content, but I would have no moral issue getting a pirated version of something I previously paid for.

“Alexa, remind me to strip the DRM from all of my Kindle purchases tomorrow.”

This is why piracy reigns supreme.

It’s a pity here.

No one gets out of the gray
unless they have something good to say.

Would it kill deals.kinja to lighten up some of these comments?

Don’t buy these. They’re cheap garbage and will be broken within a year. See that fork in the plastic just above the ear cups? That plastic is super prone to breaking. Just look at some of the reviews on Amazon. Every bad review seems to have the same problem I had.

I bought this on a whim and I am very surprised how much I like it. It doesn’t really have as many features as games like Transport Fever, but I really like the aesthetics and the overall charm of it. I normally only play sandbox modes in these types of games but I have had great fun in the campaign.

Ah, but will I require a mortgage to purchase all of its DLC?

Never underestimate the lengths and depths people will go simply to cover their own ass.

I feel like it’s the latter. It seems like with any kind of concern of this type (see also: Baylor), it’s easier to just (ab)use your power and try to sweep it out of sight than try to take on a possible national shitstorm. It’s hard to get fans buying into the fanciful NBC montages if people knew, and now know, that

Given the response from these organizations it seems more likely (IMO), that Larry is one among many predators within these organizations. Fear of liability may have been one among many considerations not to exclude the real possibility that he is just one of several other scumbags preying on these young women. I say

The thing I find so confounding about the complicity of USAG/MSU/USOC is... why? Once the allegations started to surface, why keep him? Did this shitstain appear to offer anything special? Did he seem to possess unique skills above and beyond the average sports medicine practitioner? Or was it really just the purely

There’s more involved than simple salary +/-, not to mention that salary reductions just aren’t going to happen. I agree that entertainment salaries, especially at the top end, are wildly out of proportion, but the deeper problem is that that top end is predominantly—nearly exclusively—male. I think a more durable

I still don’t understand what Mark did wrong here. Unless he campaigned for Michelle to NOT get the raise. Should he have made sure to negotiate for both of them?

First, I’m glad this move was done. Like the Neeson article, though, probably the last person on the blame list here is Wahlberg. Those agents should be the focus here. I mean, it’s not even a competing agency that did this. Him and Williams are represented by the same company on the same movie and they did this.
