Never underestimate the staying power you gain by being able to Google something. It’s true that anyone can type words into Google and get a result, but most of the effectiveness comes from knowing what to type, finding some random forum post from 4 years ago, looking through it to decipher the useful information…

Look: The move is fine. Just fine. It was less interested in delivering a compelling narrative than it was in showing off Disney’s VFX prowess, but the director and actors did well with what the writers gave them. Why does this have anything to do with AutoPilot? The impact came 40 seconds after AP stopped. That is 40 seconds for a human to make a lot of dumb decisions. Autopilot had nothing to do with a person deciding to drive way too fast.

In Texas you cannot. Any (reported/taxed) money you earn will be deducted from your unemployment.

Which is crap. Last time I was on unemployment, I was paid 16-17% (WTF?!) of my normal monthly income. I tried to supplement that by coaching and making a few hundred a month. I had to pay back to the state unemployment…
