That was my first thought, as well.

Oh, I don’t doubt it’s good. It was just really upsetting to me when I read it back when I was still into horror and I don’t have the nerve for it that I used to have. I also answered my own question about that one character by reading the wiki entry. ;-)
I’ve been wondering that as well. I haven’t seen anyone mention him anywhere. I’m not wondering hard enough to watch it on Netflix, though.
So, if I take charge of my sex life and demand respect, creepy assholes will turn to porn instead? I fail to see the problem with that.
I think he’s forgetting that, in the late 70s/early 80s, the kind of natural beauty that Linda Hamilton had (or Jamie Leigh Curtis in Halloween, Sigourney Weaver, Farrah Fawcett, etc.) was what counted as really sexy in films and TV back then.
I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but I decided to give it a try when I saw it was the same people as Parks and Rec. It’s pretty awesome.
I love it. I just finished bingeing S1 about a week and a half ago.
I don’t miss Parks and Rec at all why do you ask
I scrolled up to check out her suit again with the full expectation that you were being petty, but my reaction was to gasp and say, “Oh, god!”
He played a rapist vampire on the CW for 8 years, he’s used to his fans excusing all his bad behavior.
Seriously, there are plenty of true crime podcasts that just stick to the crime. Variety is great.
I mainly listen to podcasts with female hosts and they occasionally mention getting bad reviews due to their voices - MFM for one, and then another one I can’t remember where they were accused of having vocal fry so they educated the listeners on what vocal fry is.
Ha, ha, I’ve also been thinking I’d’ve been all over this pretentious BS back in high school/college.
Not Henry Winkler. One of the actors is a ringer for Ben Schwartz.
It sounds like the motto of Google is actually “Just be evil.”
Hey, it’s not his fault that all the Miladies only want Chads.
I keep posting and then panicking that I accidentically posted in the next article by accident. I had no idea they could make kinja any worse than it already was.
I also wanted to watch, but I didn’t get past the first episode. I went into it knowing that Danny turns out to be her love interest, but then he spent the entire first episode fat-shaming her and I noped out. I was completely unsurprised to hear he eventually turned out to be a controlling, abusive asshole.
I was in my mid to late 20s when I read it back in the late 90s and, while I understand why it’s considered gross now and I would probably skip that section when rereading it now, back then it was just sort of a blip on the weird-as-fuck books radar. I read much worse in other horror novels and even in romance of the…
That’s even worse to hear somehow. I’d expect that behavior from evangelicals, but not from more liberal Christians.
