Well, I was like eleven or twelve(?) when I first read and loved the original b/w collection, and I had no interest in the goofy, kid-centric, marketing-crazed turn they took shortly thereafter, so I have no nostalgia for them at all. As far as I'm concerned, there's no integrity left to ruin.

I am legitimately looking forward to this movie.

I think it was a hipster joke.

Australian possums?

I used to say "an opossum" all the time, but it's just awkward to say and no one thinks I'm talking about an Australian marsupial that I saw crossing the road when I say "a possum", so I cut that shit right the fuck out.

No way. I never knew that.

Of course he has "Accordion Repo Man" on his resume. Of COURSE.

The Fifth Element was the best Element, too.

Oh my god, you just reminded me that I've owned the box set for about four years and still haven't finished watching it. What the hell is wrong with me?!?

I wonder what Stan Kelly thinks about this.

And hormonal manchildren.

But after he was a mare who gave birth to an eight legged horse.

I'm angrily shaking my thunder hammer at this news!

If they make a big deal of it and keep referring to it through the movie, I'll be annoyed. If it's just the gimmick to explain her super powers, I'm fine with it, although I wish they'd framed it as suboptimal processing efficiency rather than the oft-quoted 10% capacity.
