I never get these memos on things that “everyone hates”. Imagine the horror of blissfully going about life not hating the things I’m supposed to.

Been playing New World for a couple weeks. It’s fun, but boy howdy is it basically in alpha. Like, it makes the initial launch of FF XIV look super polished.
Cutting edge of comedy right here. Are you transphobic? Maybe Netflix will give you a special.
I’ve done a few months at 1000 a day. Didn’t really feel overly hungry as long as I ate more filling low calorie foods and spaced my eating out pretty well.
Coldharbour?
Or Superbad for eff’s sake.
Breaking news, you heard it here first.
What did he say? The Sheriff’s near?
Jokes ARE funny, it’s such a shame Dave didn’t tell any during the last special.
Looks like the governors get the taxes but have to pay large amounts for upkeep which seems to be a money sink.
I was under the impression that that tax money went directly to the people who control the town. That’s why the controlling group gets to set the trading tax rate. Are you saying there’s an additional tax that’s not part of the set tax rates?
Taxes in New World aren’t “destroyed” money, they’re paid to other players, and the rates are set by the controlling factions.
The taxes aren’t a money sink, they’re paid to other players not NPCs.
The only ways to earn currency are to get a little bit sometimes when you kill a mob, salvaging equipment gives you a very little bit but you get a fair amount of equipment you don’t need, completing quests or faction missions, or selling items to other players. Technically if you own a town you collect passive…
Well the term “money sink” implies the money is being taken out of the economy. In New World the taxes don’t disappear into the ether, they’re collected by other players. The money isn’t coming out of the economy it’s just being transferred.
Popeye’s from Louisiana, probably a bit of homophobia in there somewhere.
Their gaming division and their OS division are effectively not even the same company.
Well it’s not like jet fuel could melt steel beams or anything like that.
Near death indicators are fine and sensible. Many games though make it super annoying. Subtlety is best IMO.
I could.
