When you publicly represent the company you work for, any “societal pressure” you face leads to financial pressure on your company. Financial pressure you cause on your company often leads to you being canned.  It’s no different than causing a big fuck up internally and being fired for it.

I’ve been watching Jeopardy almost 100% of the time for over 30 years. I’ve seen Alex Trebek say worse shit (than the Jennings tweet) to contestants’ faces on TV.

The “poor editing” was because in order to get it all looking good they’d have to be there filming until 2AM.

Roberts was great, Rogers was good (my sister was a contestant during his hosting and said he was awesome off camera), Whitaker was pretty forgettable.  I thought Gupta and Faber were excellent, as well as Buzzy and Ken.  Even Buck was pretty fun.

Word behind the scenes is that they were there filming his week extremely late, and that was without editing out every flub. That could probably be better over time, but I think it’s a little unfair to ask contestants to be there at 8AM and then still be filming at 9PM, especially since most of them have to leave the…

Absolutely love Levar Burton.  He would be a terrible Jeopardy host.
