two opposing views can be equally true. He’s racist sexist and xenophobic. So are the rust belt voters who voted for him. Their situation is also not getting better and Hillary could not speak to their concerns.

Watching your community die a slow death for 30 years lets you overlook some things when people say they can save it.

You’ve done a great job here pointing out a phenomenon known as “point-and-laugh liberalism.” Maybe if the Democrats adopted the a policy of unconditional respect, one that was advocated by... what’s his name.... the old white guy from Vermont, we wouldn’t be staring at this goddamn travesty. These people are

“It can be hard to put your finger on exactly what you fear most about the rise of Donald Trump: the racism? The sexism? The xenophobia? The profoundly dangerous lack of judgment?”

The next White Male to talk about “PC culture” can seriously go fuck themselves. You are clueless.

I think you are putting the blame in the right place on this. Blame the democrats for putting her forward as the prime candidate when they knew that all the sway voters would steer clear of her because of all the email scandals and countless other crap she’s done. They thought that it would’t matter in the end. If

Yup. Just wait, all the neoliberals who said us minorities need to vote for Hillary will start to blame us for her loss.

Yea all the women who think Hillary sucks are misogynists, including myself. Good theory !

But mostly, fuck you and fuck your fucking misogyny.

Roger Ailes and his propoganda channel that has been fomenting this anger and stupidity since Hillary was first lady is a big fucking reason we are where we are.

Agree she was a shit candidate and she did NOT get my vote, nor did Trump. Do the things that she had done just with the email and you or I would be in prison. She’s the best they could muster? They undermined Bernie and got caught at it and thought there would be no repercussions? Blame the Russians for “hacking” but

It’s not a matter of the “both candidates are bad” or “lesser of two evils” nonsense. Hillary is just about as charasmatic as a sponge, and her being involved in current investigations didn’t help her with the massive amount of undecided voters. She wasn’t good enough 8 years ago, and she was clearly not good enough

I’ve yet to see this argument put so concisely. Nice job.

You are 100% correct. Almost any other Democrat would’ve had this in hand. Clinton, earned or not, has so much baggage. I voted for her, but I didn’t like it. In my case, it’s just that I don’t trust old people.

You do have to admit a certain irony, though, that Bernie would probably be destroying Drumpfy tonight.

They somehow couldn’t see the writing on the wall that the big issue was globalization. Trump and Bernie both made huge inroads on opposite sides of the spectrum on that single issue. But still democrats thought it was safer to maintain a status quo. Try to please everyone, end up pissing off everyone.

Yes, there is plenty of blame to go around and the way things look right now is sickening. I’m not laying this debacle at her door alone, however, or even primarily.

Cool strawman.

She got my vote as well. I wouldn’t call her a horrible candidate, but I certainly didn’t walk out of the polling place half-ugly-crying like I did after the last historic election I voted in. The Clinton Fatigue factor was REAL- criminally underrated, not properly acknowledged/addressed, momentarily muted and

This. So much this. Bill adding another 5,000 sq ft to the man cave this winter.
