Although it may be different IRL, that dashboard is about as busy as I’ve seen in 20 years. Don’t object to the a/c vents being high up, but they’re pretty conspicuous, against a trend to blend them in as a narrow uniform-colored strip. Curious to see how they work.

Performance aside, they (Porsche) had me at the homage livery (wow wow wow). Back to unreality, even if I were to pony up the cash for one (after waiting forever), I’m hard-pressed to think I would off road it. Unless you define off road as the treacherous concrete desert that is the Costco parking lot.

Without significant changes at Hyundai NA, namely customer service, I wouldn’t bet on this, even if it comes to fruition. I get far superior customer service in my area from Toyota, Nissan, and Honda (don’t have direct experience with others), and it’s nowhere near Lexus or Infiniti, who’ve both have had a head start

Wondering same. But currently I usually know when the room will be serviced, and typically will leave $5. This is for work-related travel and I’m a pretty tidy person.

A shout out to Cecily Strong’s Verizon commercials? My goodness what a waste of her talent thus far. Maybe some of the SNL writers could freelance for Verizon.

I’m today-years-old when I learned that these exist. Wow. I could def get on board for a model with a HEPA filter, kinda an easy button for dusting!

Facts, I like to say, don’t care much about your opinions. But I will attest to the observation/fact that tooling around in a Rolls, even an older Phantom variant, messes with the universe’s gravitational pull (opinion here) in a way that Elon Musk and Donald J. Trump can only dream of. Was in the Bahamas recently,

How does one say, “get off my lawn,” in British? On the flipside, good to know it’s not just us ‘mericans who overstay our welcome. When he’s gone from TV, and hopefully soon, we can go back to enjoying reruns of Top Gear, when he used to be a decently funny presenter.

Curious if anyone knows of some legit study that’s examined Amazon as a “pretty crappy company,” versus the employment alternatives for folks if they didn’t work there. A close friend has now worked there twice. Worked like a dog, got paid well, burned out (actually, poached due to his Amazon experience), missed the

As my former long-term career was contingent upon my vision (corrected to 20/20 with contacts) I steered very clear from Lasik or any of the precursors; as a physician I simply don’t think the majority of people, physicians or otherwise, really have a solid understanding of risks and statistics, “it’ll never be me.”

Yes, but... I agree with the substance of this, but in my experience (including today, when I took a call from a former colleague), people tend to embark on Planned Happenstance only when they’re either actively looking for a new job (planned or otherwise, otherwise in the case of my friend). If I were to condense the

More than a bit of confirmation bias as I just installed CrossClimate 2's on my wife’s car a few weeks ago; they’ve really gotten a lot of great reviews. I’m wondering if the comparison had been done with another tire if the results would have been similarly conclusive, something more along the lines of a traditional

That’s exactly the situation that happened to my friend, went from one gas F150 to another, then switched to diesel. It only has to happen once. Shame it had to happen hundreds of miles away from home.

You didn’t mention this in the story, but when you borrowed the Escalade, did the owner tell you it was a diesel? I can’t imagine even considering the possibility if I wasn’t told explicitly. Also, I know others that have made this error, it can happen pretty easily from simple muscle memory.

Glad to see the improvements, really puzzled over the cacophony of window angles in the second row/rear quarter, which TBH kinda bother me design wise.

Surprised this wasn’t mentioned in the article, but IMO the most insidious component of lifestyle creep is the company you keep. I suppose for most (it is the case for me) that their circle of friends have people that vary in terms of wealth and how they choose to spend their money. Coming into more money can open the

A tall order, but fingers crossed that the next Jag GT might be as beautiful as the F-type. Also, how do you make an EV sound this good?

Money. Makes people, and institutions, do crazy, immoral, things.

The OG host of Top Gear. The very top. RIP QE2.
