99% but yes

Except that generally those things for ultra high end guest are pretty sharply focused and targeted to a small amount of effort for the most part. It doesn’t really take that much staff to deal with someone who wants to spend the night at cinderellas castle or have Wolfgang Puck serve you dinner at a private Cooking

I don’t think so. The hotel is completely lacking in standard amenities (a pool, comfortable lounging areas, uh, windows) and would be zero fun after 15 minutes without the illusion that you were a guest on a luxury space cruise. There’s nothing to do.

This will have massive lore ramifications for decades to come.

If they made a slightly larger scale, slightly less immersive experience, it would have been better. You can get people paying $4k for a week at Disney but for 2 nights, it was WAY TOO MUCH.

I sorta get why it cost as much as it did but really it’s so prohibitively expensive, specially these days.

Was just too expensive. Never heard anyone say anything bad about the experience, just that it was too expensive. I would liked to have tried it, but not at that price. Don’t imagine theming it with the ST timeline helped too much either.

wow they must have taken a massive loss on this. i can only imagine how little interest there was to close this...was it open for a shorter period than it took to build?

At a cost of $5,000 a weekend, it’s a wonder it even opened at all.

I’ll let you be the judge:

Yeah I have no problem with Stenberg in all of this. This Lena Wilson person seems very melodramatic and attention-seeking...I don’t want that kinda shit out of a film critic, I’ll be sure to avoid Wilson’s film reviews now.

It’s such a smarmy thing to say but totally consistent with the recent trend of co-opting the jargon of self-help and pop sociology to bolster your own position.

Lesbian or not, it’s clear the author of the review is using her white womanhood to try and become the victim when messaged by a black actress she wrote a review on.

I audibly guffawed at that line from her. She sounds like a clown.

Yeah, I reread that bit trying to figure out what I was missing that makes sense of that. It doesn’t matter how much ‘social power’ someone has if they DM you, because it’s not public unless you make it so. If Billie Eilish slid into my DMs to call me an asshole, I’d be alarmed and confused, but it wouldn’t have the

“I’m posting it because I don’t want this person who has more social power than me to think that it’s fucking okay to do something like this.”

So the reviewer makes a reductive comment about how the movie is just an advertisement for cleavage, a star from that movie sends a private message joking that if the reviewer had paid more attention to the film than the cleavage, maybe she would have gotten more out of it, and somehow the reviewer is a victim?

While it’s nice that Lizzo recognized the harm the word held and immediately changed it, it would be even better if more people worked to understand the ongoing challenges of people with disabilities. There’s more to being an ally than just adding a ramp and a special parking space.”

“Rridiculous” things do happen, but our default reaction should always be to assume we don’t have the full set of information until we are sure we do. And even then, it takes time after the ridiculous sounding thing has actually happened for all the information, context, and details to come to light to make any

This is the stupidest thing I’ve read all month, but what do you expect of legal analysis from Jalopnik?
