Doing a million things right doesn’t excuse you for doing something wrong.
And pointing out other violators that haven’t been pursued doesn’t excuse him for his actions either. But if you feel there are “thousands” of other examples, maybe instead of advocating for Tesla/Elon’s doing something wrong you should be

The problem is that he could cause massive damage to the economy with his behavior by triggering volatility in the market. When he acts this way, it doesn’t only impact his stock, but that of other companies.

He’s not a crazy visionary, he’s just rich. He didn’t invent a single thing. He just threw money at people who did and slapped his name on it afterwards. Don’t idolize the rich. Scrutinize them.

Another way to look at this is that there comes a point in a company’s history where the crazy visionary who founded it just gets in the way. What is Elon doing now but getting in the way?

The perception of who’s an ‘intelligent person’ is peculiarly distorted in the USA. I can assure you that you easily have more geniuses washing dishes than you have ‘visionaries’ leading companies. It’s all a matter of opportunity and can come as no surprise that you can go far even being an insufferable coke head,
