I’ve seen one of them in person. At the time I thought “Yeah, that’s nice looking, but it’s too expensive for what it is”.

My wife’s (now my step-son’s) ‘08 Honda Fit. It has no power at all, but the brakes are sharp, the handling is superb, and the steering is go-kart-like in it’s quick ratio. It’s simply a hoot to chuck it into a decreasing-radius freeway onramp, nail the throttle and sling-shot onto the freeway already moving at speed.
I loved mine. Wife cried when it was recovered after being stolen and stripped.
Looks more like the steering wheel from my 1990 Mustang LX 5.0.
It’s still rear-engined (and still around) because the 928 failed to replace it as Porsche originally intended.
Those are mostly differences due to society than they are to physiology. Women aren’t *inherently* less strong than men, but they’re primarily socialized to be so. We encourage boys to physical activity, and socialize girls to more sedentary pursuits. I quite imagine that John Force’s daughter was immersed in…
It wasn’t really - this one has the luxury package including heated leather seats, dual zone climate controls, MyFordTouch with the big touchscreen yada yada. Nadaguides value was about $500 under what they were asking, but I made a big deal out of it.
I always liked the Brat and XT. Wonderfully weird and cool.
You and I are/were in the same boat. I grew up with financially secure parents that always said “None of your business” when I asked questions about family finance. Made some bad choices as a young’n, now having clawed out of it, the dealer we were at recently was thoroughly understanding when I said “The reason I…
NP - one word for that I-6... SMOOOOOOOOOTH.
Where’s Torch?!
That’s almost certainly due to weight and drag. It’s built on a Focus platform, but probably weighs half again more, and is MUCH taller, wider and has a much more vertical frontal area.
I did this on a motorcycle once. Was following an early 2000s Mustang Cobra on my ‘93 CBR1000F in the early 2000's. Pulled up at a stoplight next to said Cobra, he rolls down his window and says “How’s it feel to lose to a Mustang?!”
Interesting. My wife’s Fusion SE 1.5L EcoBoost makes a *peak* of 181hp... and it’s extremely rare that we get to that number. In day-to-day driving, we probably use 100hp max... and at 40mph on a main road in our town the (dubious) fuel economy meter shows us getting a steady-ish 40 mpg, so I doubt we’re using more…
If a Yuppie accident is a Saab story, what if the Saab *is* the accident? Or wreck, rather.
That pretty much sums up how I feel!
I currently drive a ‘95 Nissan pickup - it’s a year before they started calling it “Frontier” but same truck. My son was puzzled when he offered to adjust the shifter throw and I said “No thanks. It’s fine like it is.”
That just seems bizarre to me. What’s next? Doors?
... And cars have accidents all the time.
True. I wish the feeble attempt made in the ‘70's had worked.
