BETTER TROLLS, PLEASE.
BETTER TROLLS, PLEASE.
Hey, man, it’s okay, we don’t have to agree about the quality of the show, its storytelling, or its writing.
At this point, it’s hard to tell who is serious, and who isn’t, but I’m pretty skeptical that the first two comments above are from actual Cards fans. Fans are stupid, but saying “they won more games than you did’ to a sportswriter is clearly someone clowning.
Fair enough.
They discussed how the trial was sped up, but even 12 months is a relatively short amount of time, particularly when you believe you’re innocent, and your trial hasn’t taken place yet.
I didn’t miss anything. I clearly understood what they were going for. They just did it in a silly and unrealistic way.
If the Cardinals were 25 games over .500, and have that best record in baseball, surely you’d acknowledge that this ongoing series doesn’t make a lot of sense, right? So in some sense, it’s absolutely tied to them being unsuccessful this year.
Nah, they really don’t.
Most people expected the Cardinals to miss the playoffs this year, in my experience, and I don’t believe they started this series until they got off to a relatively shitty start.
Yes, okay, no one can make any assumptions about what is realistic or not in Rikers without...being there themselves? I can’t comment on the plausibility of the storytelling that takes place in a jail?
I have many more criticisms than that, but yes, his quick transition from a dewy-eyed, and relatively innocent person into a hardened drug mule was unrealistic who helped his mentor murder someone was very unrealistic, as was the fact that he was taken under the guy’s wing at all.
You’re sure I would have handled things differently? Huh? Are you under the impression that I’m judging the morality of a fictional character?
I thought it was to make fun of them for being awful this year, no?
Could not agree more. I’m a bit shocked by all the positive feedback this show has received. The pilot hooked me, and it got worse and worse every episode. Shockingly poorly written.
The fact they’re so close to making the actual playoffs throws cold water on this entire Deadspin commitment, don’t you think? They obviously started this with the expected result of the Cardinals being terrible. And in a lot of was, they have been terrible, but if they make the playoffs, people have to admit this…
Yeah, that part seems lost on all the commenters here. Musk isn’t saying he’s a Rand fan, but is commenting that it’s unusual to like both Rand and Orwell.
Kind of a meaningless reply.
That’s utter bullshit. You don’t hear about them because Jezebel doesn’t share the stories.
What if I don’t want it to happen to young, poor people of color, either.
You’re making too much sense.
