I am at work, so I am not going to make the “Road is Road” Incredibles meme, but I do think that it would best represent your insurance company.

He’s had a Porsche stolen from him, so I think he knows how it feels, and wouldn’t do it to anyone else.

someone needs to get to washington dc. i have a sneaky suspicion

He does need the cash!

Yeah I got a very gently used honda civic for a steal back in The Before Times, and I didn’t expect to keep it forever, just until my work and expenses stabilized a bit. Now that I’m in a good place, I’m still hanging onto the honda because it’s paid off, reliable, no bullshit bells and whistles, and any car that

Counterpoint. Merc wagon new costs more money than I have.

I scored a TourX for sub 30. Sometimes it pays to want what other people don’t. They are gone now but I’m holding onto mine.

Mercedes could save the wagon by making a goddamn EV version, so those of us who are waiting in vain for an EV station wagon (not a crossover, not an SUV, not a hatchback - looking at you, Porsche), would have options.

It’s worth noting that Dealerships are often the reason that certain cars (colors, options, etc) sell poorly.

Totally, I make a decent wage but even then there is no way I could afford an E-class wagon new, especially with kids etc. They hold their value so much more than the sedans so its funny how they dont depreciate much... but there arent enough people to want to spend the 70k and up base price for one. Maybe fewer lease

Same here, 2014 E250 4Matic wagon. God i love this car. I’ve been driving wagons for over 20 years, Volvos, Saabs and now Mercedes. I will really miss the long roof when its gone.

I have an E350 wagon, and I love it. Almost all the room of an SUV with the handling of a sedan. I was seriously considering Volvo too, so that might be might next wagon.

I rented a Duster in France a few years ago and took it off-road and it was terrific. I fell in love with that car.

I so wanted to rent one of these for out Iceland adventure but we ended up with a diesel kia sportage with studded tires. We covered that thing in dirt and by the end of the week had repaired the front air dam we kinda tore off.

Do you not clean under your fenders when you wash your car?

..And here I am cringing when I accidentally drop my wash rag on the ground, thoroughly rinsing it out in a wash bucket so I don’t get paint swirls. What is wrong with these city dwellers that they would let strangers scrub crushed rocks (dirt) into their paint for a stupid marketing stunt. I wouldn’t do this to my

I recall a story about a guy who built a self serve car wash near an off - road park thinking it had to be a winner. But..no. Those people want to drive home dirty and slowly wash off in their driveway for all to see.

This seems to most presage the VehiCross, from that other weird little car company.

I love AMC weirdness. They seemed to be a lot like America’s version of Citroen.

The Nash Metropolitan had covers over both the front and rear wheels, giving it a sort of boat-like look.

Seriously, this thing would sell like crazy today.
