Dang. I was hoping that the EPA had suddenly woken up to the critical and immediate need to shut down the waste-coal burning power plants in West Virginia that happen to be Joe Manchin’s customers.
It would solve a whole lot of problems if we got a solid third of the people off the roads and into public transportation.
Kind of sucks but it might be the right thing to do.
I’m about an hour and a half from the factory. My count is at 3 car carriers, one of which only had 2 trucks on it in seemingly random locations for... reasons?
Wait until serial killers get *caught* using this.
The solution is to make the tag’s owner registered before it can be used.
Did this guy fuck up and deserve to go to jail? Certainly.
I agree that this thing is cute and there’s something to be said for an offroader that isn’t dripping in toxic masculinity However, let’s be honest here: this thing is meant for tropical resorts. It’s a golf cart designed for well-maintained dirt paths to access secluded beaches so that vacationers can pretend they’re…
With him it’s documented that it’s more of both. His public speech, especially in tweet, show an inability to handle any contradiction or criticism in a healthy way. Instead he lashes out like a bully. Also the fact that he could, by snapping his fingers, help to vastly reduce problems such as hunger and housing…
Buy classic Corvette, replace V8 with tiny electric motor and (thanks to 36 gallon tank, use car to transport milk) never ever stop pissing people off with these choices.
Yeah, as someone that actually has an economics degree (thanks, LSE!)...the fact that gas is so expensive is a DIRECT RESULT OF CAPITALISM. Want cheap gas? Go to Venezuela, you commie.
“As their humiliations mount and the pleasures their riches yield are obscured by the show’s punishing aesthetic, the Roys and their milieu only become more sympathetic.”
Yeah, they use it to good effect. They all try to sound way more smart or powerful or edgy than they actually are, and that’s the point. We’re meant to roll our eyes at how the Roys think people in their position can/should talk. Plus, the banter makes it all the more obvious that these people are incapable of…
Likewise, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying a gimmick or a fad. For example, lots of people enjoyed the most recent wave of 3D movies that hit theaters some years back.
They sold around 10 million in the first year, which is a heck of an accomplishment for something that doesn’t already have an established fanbase like a Sony, Nintendo, or Xbox console.
So out of curiosity, have you actually tried the Quest 2? Because I felt similarly before trying it, and fully expected it to feel like a gimmick like I had 5 or 6 years ago when I was trying Google Cardboard or similar.
But then I actually tried it, and I wouldn’t call it an incremental upgrade at all. I wouldn’t…
You sound like Luke when he talks about videogames or bitcoin
This is where I could say something snarky like “found the person who hasn’t actually used any modern VR tech,” or “oh, guess I’ll tell all my VR-enjoying friends that they’re wrong to be having as much fun as they are,” but unfortunately there is no single satisfyingly parsimonious way to Haha Uh No.
Imax is a fad? The fact that your comparing 3d movies to vr shows you know nothing John snow. Go play some hl:alyx and let's see if you opinion stays....
I use my VR headset a few times a week, and most of my family members have a Quest 2 headset. There’s a good library of VR games/apps and support from publishers now, and that’s what determines if VR technology lives or dies.
