Thank you for saying this. There are compromises in a relationship, but usually “my wife won’t let me” is a cop out that really means you are making the decision you know is right for you that you’re a little embarrassed about.

If one found themselves behind on payments and in need of the full appraised value of a vehicle, this certainly seems like a pretty straight forward way to commit insurance fraud.
This show was so spot on it hurt.
You are living the dream. Congratulations you classy bastard.
You are correct. Revenue is money generated by the activity of your core business.
Ford will make it happen when they have to, you have effectively described the Tesla buying experience.
Gladiator, Ranger, Colorado. The pickings are slim, and you can only get them with the “base” engine for each of them. The Bronco truck might get added to this list when it comes out,
You are completely correct. Totally bespoke colors or customization are time consuming. Selecting any permutation of a standard offering does not take any additional time.
Custom orders from standard options do not slow down auto manufacturing at all. Lines are setup to make any permutation in the same amount of time, and many auto lines are setup to make multiple cars on the same line. If you have never been to a car plant, it’s a pretty magical experience to see how it all comes…
Sounds are cool, and these seem pretty delightful. Pictographs are great so I have some context of what the sounds mean. Text is terrible and verges on unsafe.
This would be a total hit in China, where comfortable minivans with a chauffeur are normal. If Porsche doesn’t make a move, I’m sure Toyota would be happy to make these features part of the next Alphard.
I know you’re joking, but I wonder if behind the scenes there is a threat to make these things EAR-3 and start putting end user verification requirements in place.
I’ve never bought a vehicle over $40k, so I might just have a plebian mindset... but at a starting price of $180k, I’m not clear on why someone would buy this other than simply loving Aston Martin.
There was a great article last year about some Model Xs used for Livery that were still on the road at 400k. The big caveat was that they had required $39k in maintenance to get them there, which included a battery pack, tires, a tailgate and back seats.
Aside from the car destroying road salt.
I hope the “This Car Climbed Mt Washington” bumper sticker was worth it.
As a kid growing up in Vermont in the 90s, Saab was the pinnacle of sophistication and cool. If someone were to be thinking about a Saab to rescue and maintain, what should they get?
My parents went through a low key midlife crisis in the late 90s and both got vanity plates. My dad retired his “NRGIZED” plate after people were transposing the R and G and while reading and getting pretty upset.
I have also added “fuck you” rear lights to setup camp and alert others to when they are being inconsiderate. They are remarkably effective at reminding people when their high beams or light bars are on at an inappropriate time.
I had the same experience. It was a car I idolized until I got it as a rental and felt like I was driving a piece of farm machinery. That was in 2012, and I know subsequent generations are considerably better - but holy smokes was that one unpleasant.
