Sigh. I might be telling myself a fairytale too, but it lets me fall asleep to hope.

I can’t feel anything but heartbreak for the people experiencing the power outage. Being cold and in the dark is just about the most primal fear and discomfort a sentient being can experience. Many people are going to die of exposure, many more are going to die of CO poisoning.

I am holding out hope that the lawsuits filed by Dominion and Eric Coomer against will re-establish “the line”. Since Equal Time ended in 1987 conservative media content has been a constant barrage against the truth.

I have never heard the quote you paraphrased about trees. It makes my stomach churn.

I used to work graveyard shift in a factory an hour from my apartment on rural roads. I would leave Rush on during the drive home to keep my angry enough to stay awake - as a result, I am intimately familiar with his predatory hucksterism.

The other part is that manufacturers build dealer loyalty and enthusiasm from vehicles like this. The dealers that are getting good TRX allocations are the same ones that ate a lot of shit building a Fiat store and slinging Darts.

I would agree with you if we were talking about food, water or medicine; but we’re not. We are talking about a completely superfluous item sold to eager customers who know exactly what they are paying for.

This has cropped up in other states as well, and it is nefarious bullshit.

I will try this a different way, I’m not articulating my point well and I’m not trying to be shouty with you. Sorry if the “abstinence only” metaphor felt inflammatory.

Let me put it a different way. The location, specific time period, profession and living situation all would have determined what “fact based” risk mitigation look like for a given person. People in Vermont spent most of last year living like it was 2019 with single digit infections while people one state away needed

The tough thing is that she could very well have been eating inside, and not blowing off any guidelines.

In the absence of clear fact based policies, there isn’t a way to be a perfect Covid citizen.

I’m with Brandy on this one. It’s great when people are responsible, and I wish people would wear N95 instead of bullshit Etsy masks; but we aren’t in this mess because of individuals.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I couldn’t find it in the article. What kind of vehicles will be traveling through the tunnel?

Apparently so. He’s going to be upset when he finds out GTA V isn’t a documentary.

I second your opinion. It looks luxurious, but not overly ornate from stem to stern. They have done a good job creating a distinct design language, and it doesn’t look like anything else on the road.

Suicide nets are a phenomena at some Asian factories. They are there to lower the chance of death if someone throws themselves from a building.

The style of tackiness may change, but American Gaudy will never go away.

There is plenty of tackiness to go around in America, but we aren’t at “peak bling” in the way we were 1989 - 2008. What’s trendy now is “French Cottage”, muted colors, matte finishes and “tactical”.

Ghastly and ostentations is OK, I just wish it was also beautiful.
