This is fantastic.
This is fantastic.
There is something strangely comforting about our weirder political traditions that I didn’t know I’d miss until they were gone. Seeing people from both sides of the aisle put aside vitriol to take part in something important, relatable or fun gives a sense of national well being and community. Things like the White…
Good list
I think you hit the nail right on the head. I believe they imagined 4Runner buyers moving to Highlanders and Rav4s. It feels like they only updated the Tacoma after GM brought back the Canyon / Colorado.
May I ask what the dream specs on a next gen 4Runner would look like for you?
Looks fantastic
The Toyota / GM alliance at NUMMI lasted from 1984 to 2009 and was producing more than 400,000 cars a year at its peak.
Agreed. My guess is that the design brief said the seven slat grill was a non-negotiable. It looks like they tried to honor the ‘67-68 grill (first picture) but couldn’t quite pull it off.
Perhaps even the Jeep Renegrande?
The Andrew Lloyd Webber clip makes me hope that once Broadway reopens we’ll all be able to sit down and enjoy WAP: The Musical. It would sure as shit be better than the fucking Jimmy Buffet musical.
I’d be stoked to see your build if you have a blog / insta to point me to.

TV elitism is stupid, and a sign that someone lacks self-awareness. Most “prestige” television is really just riding on higher production values and occasional partial nudity.
An acquaintance who works at Best Buy was telling me last week about how excited he was that he could afford his first Tesla share because of the split. I know it’s one data point, but holy shit did it remind me of the run up to the 2008 crisis.
I’ve hard the third group referred to as “$60k millionaires”. They are living off of credit card debt and genuinely believe that “fake it ‘til you make it” is an effective mantra.
Teslas tend to draw the techy Libertarian breed of shit head. Never make eye contact, or you will have to hear about cryptocurrencies until the heat death of the universe.
I was hoping we were going to get a Harry and Meghan true crime podcast, and they were going to survive on the largesse of Casper mattresses.
