It’s really frustrating. There’s seems to be a push to create two extreme polarized options, when I think the truth is that most people fall into the wide area between “any gun for anyone” and “ban everything that isn’t bolt action”.
Totally fair point. I know MA, CT, NY and NJ require another step of licensing and approval for a handgun, and put some hard limits on semi-automatics and NFA items.
There has to be a higher barrier to entry to getting a gun than filling out a 4473 and being on your way. Even something as simple as an online course and test of basic “dos and don’ts” might go a long way in limiting some of this egregious behavior.
Reading the premise and early reviews of this, all I could think of was Red Dwarf, which managed to get some serious mileage out of what the vending machine repairmen on a starship got up to.

Time and time again, members of this administration have shown that they are willing to do traitorous and treasonous things in their own self interest. It is an utter mystery to me how Republican voters and Republican elected officials can find a way to turn a blind eye.
