I always assumed the demo TVs played a very specific video that each TV is specifically calibrated to show that video at its best.  At home, I watch content spanning 60 years.  Most of it will never look quite right.  I just let my eye adjust unless it’s really obnoxious.

At first I was thinking “This is everything I ever wanted Odyssey to be.” Then the amateur level design kicked in with some of the most obtuse, un-intuitive platforming that plagues hastily-designed fan games and I lost hope quickly.

I think they’re mainly hoping that, by sharing something cool with the world, that they’ll be criticized by strangers on the Internet for doing it wrong.

Witcher 3. I’ve tried. I respect the many smart people who love the game. But I got through Novigrad and it still didn’t hook me.
