I apologize if I offended you with my joke. However, when every bad social experience you’ve had with a game involves people from the same server, you tend to be a little prickly about it. I’ll try not to let it affect any future interactions.

I have the same issue, but mainly because crafting grinding in FFXIV is one of the few grinding activities I actually enjoy. I can do it semi-mindlessly while watching something or chatting with friends, and it never gets old. For me, it hits that sweet spot between mindless and thought-intensive.

DPS is at full health with Noct shield on.

As a healer main since 2.0 started, give it an expansion or so. You’ll be as salty as the rest of us.

Oh god, FFXI was the best and the worst at the same time. My wife and I would level together, and because I mained PLD, I would get invites as soon as I put my flag on (sometimes even before), which would inevitably lead to some variation of the following conversation:

The fact that monks couldn’t suplex the Phantom Train in Sigmascape was one of the greatest sins of Stormblood.

Seriously, that trailer was hypey as fuck. Just hope it lives up to it. I still love the game, even having been playing since 1.0.

God I miss Electronics Boutique. Back when there was more than just one option for buying games. EB, Babbages, even GameStop back in those days were some of the greatest places to hang out. Now, I can’t stand being in our local GameStop longer than 10 minutes max.

My town had a classic game shop open within the last year and the place is thriving, which is a little odd considering my town is basically run by a geriatric mafia who consider anything fun to be “too big city” for us. I haven’t played since a couple months after release. Did they ever fix the lag? That was the main reason I stopped. Every third game would be so laggy that it was like playing at -10 FPS. I know it’s not my connection, because I can play most any other game just fine.

Man, I voted against Speciale and was disheartened (but not surprised in the least) when he won again. Being light-blue in the reddest part of the state sucks major ass.

Completely hooked on the Magic: the Gathering Arena beta, despite the fact that I suck complete ass at it. Also will probably play through some of DQ XI with the wife and/or finish my re-playthrough of Arkham City.

My personal rule of thumb: If they are selling microtransactions, the are not in early access, alpha, or beta, regardless of what they say.

Sounds oddly similar to my experience with Fortnite. A friend of mine was amazed that in the one and only game I played I came in third. I didn’t have the heart to tell him I was killed by the second person I saw, immediately after I killed the first one.
