@doit2julia: Thank you for this. That is all.

I will never forgive Usher for bringing this child (mainstream musically) into the world.

@Sasha Reptilia McFearless: Right, and I was just saying that the fey blood wouldn't bring a half life like the unicorn blood does even if vamps already have a half life.

@ambitious: I also thought the sarcasm was fairly obvious when you brought up the rappers who weren't actually here discussing the issue . . . but that's just me.

@ambitious: I think we should join up in the hive.

@ink: You've explained yourself quite well. Neither ambitious or I were confused on what you meant. However, no, you overwhelmingly missed it. The fact that you didn't get the sarcasm in ambitious' comment lets me know that you definitely missed it.

@ambitious: I think ink completely missed it. Actually, the explanation they gave just made it worse. The whole "hot and bothered" thing just really pissed me off. I mean, made me hot and bothered.

@Sasha Reptilia McFearless: Right, but I was just saying the side effects from the drink . . . It was a joke . . . Harry Potter . . . Firenze movie reference . . . .

@SOD_OFF: I'm thinking it's because Arsenio said he was watching The View and needed to take medication because of it.

@Sasha Reptilia McFearless: Except there's no cursed half life involved like with the unicorns. I think I'd go with the fey blood.

@jer2110: "but I also think it's stupid to think only certain people should be allowed to use it."

@jer2110: I really don't understand what's hard to get about certain people being allowed to use a word while others are excluded.

@ambitious: I was hoping they meant the white kids who are using the rap-a-long as their excuse, but sometimes you just can't tell.

Some of the comments in this thread have led me to exasperated temple rubbing.

@introverted_innovator: I concur so hard on this. I can only take so much appropriation and then significant cultural/racial erasure.

@sterlingsilver36: But the fact that his profanities could lessen his message annoys the *bleep* out of me. In that poem, especially, he's coming from the place of an angry and hurt black male who's being profiled. I think the profanity is warranted and quite realistic. I find that people who delve in the tone

Sometimes (I'm lying because I mean usually) I read comments on Jezebel and I'm not sure if a good portion of the commenters "get it". Ah well.
