The joy of auto climate control is I just leave mine on 72 basically all year, sometimes lowering it in direct sunlight to compensate.  I know some people like controlling in manually so they get blasted in the face by hot or cold air, but I just let the car do the work. Remote start helps too.

you forgot the “/s” to let us know you are being sarcastic.

Seems pretty dumb to haul an entire fan boat around just in the event that they happen to run out of gas. They probably could have made it to the gas station if they hadn’t been hauling a fan boat around to begin with. Dummies.

Levandowski, who was acting as the safety driver, swerved hard to avoid colliding with the Camry, causing Taylor to injure his spine so severely that he eventually required multiple surgeries.

Not really. There’s no real ballistic advantage to being on a building and shooting level vs. being on the ground and shooting slightly upward. The main 2 reasons for a sniper to be on the highest terrain around are

but the nagging effects of gravity starts slowing a bullet down the moment it leaves the gun barrel.

That’s a totally different application though. Generators aren’t concerned about taking up passenger/cargo room, and we all know diesel in cars is pretty much never coming back. Not too mention the vibration differences between a diesel piston engine and a gasoline rotary.

Man,

How could I forget about all those homebuilt 300-Mile-Range Electric Cars built in garages that can be cranked out at a rate of hundreds per week, warrantied to last as much as 100k miles, full furnished interiors loaded with Android Auto and air conditioning, can quick charge using international standards, meet

I would NEVER for any reason park a vehicle in a lane on an active hwy. You are not a emergency vehicle and so you don’t have adequate lights or visibility markings. Shoulder it and flag them from there.

“Since everyone is probably distracted, and staring at the plane that just landed, let me take this opportunity to swerve all over the road.”

I’ve had a red ‘07 MS3 for 4 years now (near Detroit). I’m going to share my thoughts on MY car. I’ve seen a lot of clapped out examples, but I like to think I take decent care of mine.

This is my sign on I-80/90 headed west from the OH border, just after the toll booths.

Planes have “autopilot” but pilots are still required to be awake and paying attention. I don’t see the issue with the name. It is in the best sense of the word and “autopilot” mode. It doesn’t mean it’s immune to making mistakes.

Automotive heat exchanger engineer rant:

Also airflow to clean the rear window is pretty useless when you are stopped. Good fun trying to backup in a car like that in a heavy rain/snow with no rear wiper. Idiots.

A rear wiper blade would still be useful to clear off accumulated dirt and grime. There are some things air just can’t blow away. All cars, or as many as possible, should have rear wiper blades!

Never got a ticket for it, but I still like to tell the story:

A nice summer day, I’m sitting at a stop light in my mom’s wagon. Cute blonde in a low-end Mustang drop top pulls up next to me. I look over, give her a smile. Her response was as if she walked through a cloud of skunk spray. My ego slightly bruised, I drop

To sum up what this guy said ⬆ “Aliens can’t be real because I love Jesus”.

What are you flying Air NAMBLA ?
