X-Men 2 and DoFP are without a doubt the top 2 X-Men films. However, if you count the solo Wolverine films with them, then it’d be X-Men 2, Logan, and then DoFP.

Unfortunately, that’s true. Both Christensen and Portman are solid actors, but their scripts for the prequels did them no favors.

I felt like season 2 wasn’t quite as good as season 1. It lost a lot of steam after the Zoom reveal. However, the Flashpoint and Black Flash (i.e. Death) tease were pretty good.

I don’t know why so many dislike AoU. It was bloated, yes, but not a bad film.

I think that tends to be true of all creative people. When an artist (no matter the type) develops or discovers their style, it will tend to show up in all their future works to varying degrees.
