I like, like, 2 basketball teams and no other sports. I read Deadspin DAILY, all year. I don’t want them to stick to sports, and I’m mad, and sad, and I still miss Gawker, and this sucks.

Having a backup family car is why I traded my ‘14 Juke (back seat was basically vestigial) for a ‘17 Jetta (manual). I have really enjoyed my 2017 Touring manual with the NA 2.5L Skyactiv engine. The engine is kind of coarse and isn’t totally satisfying to wring out, but the car just seems to come alive on a back road. It also passes the “look back” test.

I feel like there’s a distinction people don’t seem to understand. It’s the KKK versus casual, “every day” racism (immigrants ruining the country, e.g.) versus racist outcomes from non-racist actions (housing disparate impact).
