Thank you, my thoughts exactly. We don’t call a car with a trunk a “trunk back”, or a truck with a bed a “bed back”. Station wagons’ rear openings are tail gates but we just call that type of car a station wagon.

The lease on my previous are came due on October of 2019. Several months before the end I was pondering what to do next. I dug out the contract to find my buy out price, checked KBB and found its value estimate was about $2000 more than that so I bought the car. I figured I wouldn’t be keeping it long but didn’t want

That would be a used one.

Is ghost #3 pointing and laughing at the rear leaf spring mounting point?

If GM and Tesla still had the $7500 incentive their MSRPs would be higher.

“In none of these stories do any of the Waymo backup operators express any desire to work with the police, or follow-through with any investigation of the incident.”

I thought all EVs had to have a giant tablet-style screen in the middle of the dash.

Right, though the rest of the dash would stay the same.

The dashboards of the 64-66 Mustangs were lifted almost intact from the lowly Falcon.

I had an 2001 SE, also BRG with tan leather and real wood bits inside (sold it to buy my ND). I have a soft spot for these rare BRG Miatas but this one is priced a little high. Hate to say it.

Plus the shop price on those parts would have been twice as much.

I’ve been to Ireland a few times in the several years and Mondeos were everywhere. And over there you see wagons and four-door hatchback versions. Why Ford never offered either here is unfathomable. Oh, and it’s still offered with a manual over there.

You mean like how Ford saved money on the Pinto by leaving off a $3 part?

Last time I changed plugs it was on an ‘88 Mercury Cougar. Temps were well below zero and I had flooded* it coming out of work one afternoon. After multiple tries I called a tow truck (I was wearing the battery down) but they couldn’t get it started either so I had them tow it home and we pushed it into the garage.

“Put the dog down and get away from the car or I’m calling the gendarmes!”

Or better yet, a LeBaron convertible.

Feeling Irish today, I even have the proof. BTW, I understand a shot of Jameson can boost this 8% ethnicity estimate much higher. Time for an experiment.

Yawning?

“. . . Ford shunned its own ready stock of European small cars . . .”

Unfair? No, I think you’re being unrealistic. Two friends had Vegas back in the day. I got to drive one and ride in both and trust me, it was an uncommonly unpleasant experience. The engine was rough, raucous and slow, the ride was harsh and while it handled pretty well for an American car from the 1970s, trying to
