At least our fancy 800 Mhz system allows dispatch to override other transmissions. Although I can confirm from experience that the very same people that will try to do that themselves are literally the same people that replied all not to reply all.

I’m a paramedic, and a lot of the hospitals we transport to have an EMS lounge. About half the time I go in, the TV is on Fox. I always change it to Animal Planet.
