Yeah man, no problem with that. I don't dislike sports, I just thought it was a silly reason for "why sports matter".

This just says "Sports is important because people think it's important". Doesn't comment on the actual value of sports in itself.

That was overly harsh, I just mean to say the stuff reviewed here has greater cultural perspective & art than sports, and is reviewed/reported as such. It isn't only time wasting.

The comparison between AV fandom and sports fandom would be apt if AV Club only posted reviews of how 'dope' episodes of How I Met Your Mother are.
