I really liked the idea of little Wanda watching ancient American sitcoms as an orphan and clinging to them then and now. (They do air worldwide but it probably is unrealistic she’d have them in her orphanage or the lab.)

I would watch this movie almost every single day for a way too long stretch of time when I was a kid. For a long time I maintained I preferred it to Mary Poppins. But, in retrospect, the VHS was probably just cheaper and my parents bought it so it’s what I knew.

Life is too short to read books that don’t interest you. But those are definitely the worst books to judge the Discworld series on.
