The only explanation for doing this now, so long after the initial complaints and concerns, is getting 13 Reasons Why back in the news cycle.

Normally I’d agree but I think the ending is perfect. One of the few romantic speeches I actually find romantic. And having them be the final couple in those vignettes made perfect sense.

They will but having Acosta there makes it worse.

This is only happening because any discussion of a Trump official and Epstein veers to closely to Trump’s relationship with Epstein.

I think it’s both.

You were a fucking prosecutor!! Maybe society, in general, didn’t care about victims ten years ago or five years ago or seven minutes ago. But it was your.fucking.job to seek justice on their behalf. It was actually against the law to not inform them of your sweetheart deal, you fucking asshole.

I wouldn’t want to be near you when Babs hears you call her dogs “animals.”

You aren’t wrong. Also:

It’s a movie where middle aged to older women (fairies) save the day multiple times! Not like Cinderella’s fairy godmother where they just waive a wand around for 10 minutes. They are in the weeds (literally) fighting. People totally dismiss it. There isn’t anything else like it in Disney.

I saw this movie for the first time after the Marilyn Monroe episodes of You Must Remember This podcast. And I was really shocked at how much I liked it (although I did like Jane Russell better.) The style and songs felt very 1950s but the dialog was much more 1930s and early 1940s, a better time for funny/witty movies

The only feminist Disney movie is Sleeping Beauty, which should be the least feminist by plot alone.
