I completely agree! I wanted to love Hail to the Thief but they really just lost me around then. 

I intentionally didn’t use that one because I am pretty sure I believed it at the time. :/

I LOVED You Can’t Do That On Television and it was years before I made the connection between that and Alanis. I think someone told me it was her early on and I just dismissed it as an urban legend. Like the kid from Small Wonder being Billy Corgan. 

There are definitely much better albums that came out around that time (many of them by women the 90s were an awesome time for women rockers.) But, also, why rationalize away something you loved and was important to you?

There are very few albums from this era that hold up.

I also saw it at ART. We went to Alden & Harlow for dinner first. I liked the dinner much better than the musical, to be honest.

There is not even a shadow of doubt that Michael Jackson could be a kind, loving and generous friend to many including Diana Ross. I believe all of the accusers agree that there was a period of time when Michael Jackson was all of those things to them too.
