Yeah I think the Z06 was just trying to be the best it can be without stepping on the heels of the impending ZR1 at the time. A part of me thinks they ditched the LS7 to further differentiate the Z/28 from the Corvette.

I cant agree more with everyone else ... When I think Z06 I think all motor ... Just throwing this out there but a 427 version of the new LT motor .. Theres no way were the only ones thinking what kind of power that will make ..

I suppose I knew it was going to be supercharged, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed. Not that there's anything wrong with superchargers, it's just not something I associate with a road racing type car. I guess the C6 Z06 and it's wonderful LS7 will always hold a special place in my heart.
