*slow clap*

So true. That'd only fuel the return of small RWD cars too! Though right now it'd be 86s and Miatas...

I've read both his books and beg to differ. Brilliant man.

our old early 90s (? I think...) Astro would do that too. So would my sister's '94 tracer and our old '75 or so F-250. But that thing you could start with a coin, or a screwdriver, and it was a beater for sanding/salting ice, so we didn't care. Plus if someone did steal it, they'd get twelve feet before running out of

Does James May own one of these?

Oh yeah, my town had a detour of a very busy road onto a not-so-busy road and had lots of backups and angry drivers. So they parked a crown vic in some vacant lot.

Normally one would use the mechanical e-brake to initiate a powerslide, but when you have 450 horsepowers, that's not exactly necessary.

So damned gorgeous.

Orlove, it's a Ford, not a Holden...

Indeed! before last summer we had four american vehicles (2 Chevrolets, 2 Pontiacs) with over 200k on them, all running flawlessly. 2 still are (traded the Pontiacs, both original trannies finally blew at 220 and 225k, respectively)

+1

Old school muscle is the fastest. I realize they were the shit in their day, and I still like classics, but their speed, barring few exceptions, isn't the reason. A carbureted '69 Camaro simply cannot hold a candle to a new Camaro. Every old man I know is convinced they don't make them like they used to and nothign

You'd have to be absolutely stupid and suicidal to actually do it though. May be able to pull it, can't stop it though.

2.2L 5 speed 2wd S10. Got a bed, can put a trailer behind it and you're golden.

Title should be "Viper does donuts and Maserati drives round in circles"

Shut the fuck up, jackwagon.

IIRC it's because they look terrible from the outside, but once you get inside they're not so bad....

C4 ZR-1 (the ZR-1 nobody knows about) -

Yes, it's FWD, but they're gems that most people don't know about. Oldsmobile's flagship sedan that spearheaded its rebranding strategy (which was working, sales were up when GM axed them). One of the lowest drag coeffiecients in a production car when it was built, strikingly gorgeous, an awesome 4.0L V8 that was only
