Totally agreed. My wife drives a 2014 Optima. I drive a G37.
If you showed 16 year old me pictures of both cars and asked which was the hybrid and which was the 300hp rear drive sports sedan, I would absolutely have gotten them both backwards.

I was so sure this title was a typo. I kept looking for the article it was supposed to go with.
Used to drive an ‘85 GL wagon (the longroof version of the Brat). Can confirm, the car does not want to pivot in the best of times. All requests for direction changes must be submitted 2 weeks in advance with forms filled out in triplicate.
>“compact car” becomes a verb.
That’s just too good not to steal. Thanks.
I used to live in an apartment on the second floor over a restaurant on the corner of a 4 way stop. I heard a ‘crack-CRACK-thunk’ and the building shook. I looked out the window, and saw a semi had run the light, and pushed a UPS truck into the side of the building. I could just about touch the top of the truck out…
Driving north through rural New Hampshire on a highway through the White Mountains. Wild snowstorm at night, accumulating fast. It’s a divided highway through rough country with a valley a few hundred feet wide separating the northbound and southbound lanes.
We’d passed a few cars off the road already, when we…
Waah. I just grabed a G37x sedan with the auto. $9,950 for an amazing car. Tell me to my face I’m not enthusiastic. (We’re both gonna look weird, because I do this goofy thing with my face when I’m happy, and this car is making me very very happy).
I had a ‘57 Bel Air Wagon. Crazy amounts of room. Huge car. Significantly longer that the Grand Caravan we parked it next to.
Also crazy room under the hood. A previous owner had put a 454 in it, and there was still enough unused room under the hood to stash a few coolers or medium sized children.
France built the BEST wall to keep Nazis out. 100% successful. Nazis didn’t even ATTEMPT to go over that wall!
(they just walked around it because walls are stupid as a primary means of border defense)
Not exactly a Muslim problem. There are a zillion anachronistic bible passages and all.
I know someone who lost her wedding band while skiing. She got out of the hobby, and a good decade later was getting rid of her old gear when she found her ring in a ski boot.
I need an article in my life that tells me how they prepped those jump cars. It’s clear they destroyed a bunch of them, but I saw some interesting underbody armor on some of those shots, and the hood was flapping around like there was no engine in some.
I’m terrified.
Why do we have to take manufacturers words for this at all? Can’t someone from Tesla point to hard evidence, like brake pads lasting 75k miles or so?
1982 Subaru GL 4x4 wagon. My friends and I were BMX bikers, and I used the trunk of the wagon to hold spare parts and tools for the bikes, including tubes of grease.
Playing round in a sand pit, I found a jump that (mostly) kept the bull bar in front from digging into the terrain, so I took several jumps, laughing and…
It is. Helps that it’s a sedan. Most of the coupes I see are messed up/modded to hell.
I just picked up a G37x sedan this weekend! (RIP my Magnum). Holy crap is this a lot of car for the money. I went auto (family concession), but the manu-matic is decent, ride and balance are great, it sounds amazing over 4,000 RPM, and 2nd gear acceleration is brutal.
I started with a list of “Consumer Reports most…
New Hampshire. I was 15. My mom read about rap music in Rolling Stone magazine and decided it sounded like a cool thing for her son to get into. One year I got Public Enemy, LL Cool J, and Kool Moe Dee disks.
Like I said, I drove a lot of Calibers. I’d take a worn out PT over a minty fresh Caliber.
Unexpected strong agree. I’ve never understood the Neon hate, I absolutely got excited by the PT in its concept phase, and when I had one as a rental well after it lost its cool, I didn’t find anything wrong with it. Maybe I’ve driven one too many Calibers or something.
And the visual mods on this one...work? How can…
