This actually works... but you don’t need throttle RIGHT after braking. Most cars will oscillate the weight between front, rear, front before the shocks settle a hard brake. I brake very quickly right before the bump, and if I’m at the right speed, the end cresting the bump is always the light end.

Do your own wrenching, or just drive modern cars. Are you made of money? Why are you voting on this if you can’t wrench?

Don’t.

The only thing more exotic is a Dino. Can you afford a Dino?

You have a concrete problem: your wife can’t drive

Nobody who is lacking skill should buy it as a DD. Anyone who has any experience with cars can drive it just like it’s new. Maintain your cars.

When Alfa was in it’s prime, there was no Corolla. It’s just a daily-able now as it was new. Don’t be a pussy.

I do... in an older Alfa. They were daily’d new, why not now?

Sounds like you don’t know anything about Alfas.

Sounds like you’ve known two Alfa owners who are poor mechanics. Don’t buy an old car if you can’t understand it. These cars are so simple... any owner that can’t keep them reliable has no business driving anything vintage.

Have you owned any Alfas? Any time I see an Alfa post there are several VERY vocal people talking about how unreliable they are, and this time it’s you. Do you know anything about twinspark all-alloy 2.0s? They were very mature at this time, and super simple to maintain. The V6s are indestructible if you understand

How many Alfas have you worked on?

I’ve never daily’d anything newer than 1974. You can count on your tools if you understand how to maintain them. Buying modern cars is a cop-out. If you enjoy them, fine. But don’t act like it’s the car’s fault that you aren’t a good mechanic.

Why would everything go to hell? Can’t an enginerrrrrrrr read the service manual?

Any Alfa at that price is a buy.

I’m all for solving this problem... but do you really want your doctor reporting your medical history to the government? That could be abused in so many unpredictable ways...

Every Giulia needs the rockers/floors replaced, unless someone has already replaced them. It’s the Alfa initiation (unless you can afford a 60k restored car). It’s not difficult, the sheetmetal is still produced. And since every Alfa owner has been through it, it’s a paint by numbers operation. The structural work can

I absolutely think the airline is at fault (not you in any measure) when you’re in an economy seat, for any reason at all. You’re already doing everything you can if you upgrade your seat.

You should be upgrading your seats for more legroom at 6'6". I know that’s not fair, but the seat in front of you is someone else’s space, reclined or not. You saved money in this scenario by not upgrading, but you forced the lady in front of you to share your burden. There are plenty of physical/health reasons that

I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but your partner should have bought a seat with more legroom from the beginning. By flying economy, he’s burdening whatever stranger is unlucky enough to sit in front of him. And he knows that in advance. It isn’t your partner’s fault that coach seats have no leg room, but it’s
