I just assume the ideal is to welcome everyone and not dwell on things that divide us from our friends and neighbors.

Come on, nobody is saying that Nascar is a hate group. Of course they’ll let any paying group into the Nascar Hall of Fame.

You’ll have to continue laughing from your zero star, gray comment.

I’m just telling you man, lane split or you will eventually get rear ended. You aren’t going to see it coming, there is no escape route. Do you really think there is any time to split lanes once you hear the screeching tires and check your side mirror? That’s not how it works. You put yourself in statistically safe

Ok, well that doesn’t quite get you off the hook. You asked if OP “just needed something to bitch about”... thats not fair considering that Nascar does this at EVERY race. You get why thats a problem and a single USGP race isn’t, right?

What? The entire issue is that this prayer was broadcast and sanctioned by Nascar, giving the impression of of a bias towards Christianity. It was in bad taste for Nascar to give a platform to one political and religious viewpoint. Nobody is worried about private prayer.

Oh, I know it’s illegal in Florida. Reading comprehension, man. Practice it with this next bit of text:

Thats just not reality, man. Their design, materials, and manufacturing are so far above anyone else. You have some other sort of bias against them.

You can kill a motorcyclist without touching them- it doesn’t take much to wreck a motorcycle. He could have stuffed it at that first light by overreacting, or crashed into one of the oncoming cars, or tucked the front end at speed, ALL were the fault of the driver pursuing him.

No, they don’t. Never seen a single prayer before F1. Only been to motogp in Austin, and no prayers there. What made you think that this happens?

and by the way, prayer does NOT happen before F1 races, I’ve been to several. I’d be VERY surprised to find it happens at motogp. I’ve only ever been to Austin, and it most definitely did not happen there.

The drivers and families would be better served if Nascar didn’t assume which religion will comfort them. Feel like a broken record, but this prayer was directed only to JESUS- if you don’t think the south had any influence on that, you’re fooling yourself.

It’s funny that you mention respect- because holding a prayer for Christians shows a lack of respect for everyone else in the arena. There is nothing wrong with prayer- but a non-denominational event honoring one religion is in bad taste. I love Nascar, but #1 and #3 are bit off, my man.

Come on man, if you are agnostic you should get this... I can’t believe 8 other people agree with you.

Apple is unreliable? What planet do you live on?

You’ve that that backwards. Even if its illegal, it’s still the safest (intelligent) way to ride. I’m not sure where you are getting your information, certainly not from experience. The vast majority of all motorcycle collisions are from behind, sitting in traffic. Read the DOT’s studies on lane splitting and educate

“People here make it sound like the guy had an AK sitting out the Fusions window and was trying to gun down the biker for looking at him.”

“The guy literally split lanes and pulled directly in front of another car.”

I love that it was just lane splitting. Looks like some people DO rage like that out of the blue.

Much scarier, actually. If he will tell a private citizen that, it’s not even the worst he would probably do...
