@ninjagin: CC Lemon! Man I drank a lot of that stuff in the 10 years I lived there. I always wondered however if 50 lemons worth of vitamin C in every 6 ounces was a good thing....

Siting a tsunami research and or warning center in a location where it could get destroyed by a tsunami seems to be pretty smart. Plus building this off Kuta beach is not a desirable location unless you are 18-22 and want to go to crappy clubs all night. Bali is a beautiful place but Kuta is an eyesore best avoided.

@Lizard_King: I agree, blaming the GPS is like blaming the car for this.

@willbo4298: Isn't silicon used as the substrate in chips, not the actual signal conductors?

The "ritard" is a retarded bomb. Bombs are either retarded or non-retarded. Retarded bombs typically have fins that slow it down so the aircraft has time to escape the blast radius. This is important for low level delivery where there isn't enough separation between aircraft and the blast without the retarding fins.

@WestIndiesKING: Yep, the "This wasn't for everyone mind you — certainly not for that typical gadget-geek, smartphone crowd." makes it clear they aren't aiming this at the Giz crowd.

@MacTodd: Yeah we've got one on the way, that Orbit stroller actually has a "Don't buy" rating from Consumer Reports I think...

This is HUGE news! Oh wait these things have been offered for years and years now for the bigger kid to stand on..

@redman042: I did actually. It had fallen on the floor probably straight out of the package, and I picked it up some weeks later and had forgotten what it was, I tried to bend it as I walked to the kitchen to throw it away and was amazed how hard it was to bend. Had forgotten all about it till now.

@JonThomasDesigns: So you know that net revenue is not equal to profit right? A company can still have huge net revenue and go bankrupt. Just stick with profit, its easier.

@thirdchild: Jason Chen is an adult, hopefully he knows that admitting to mistakes is expected of him. We don't need an adoration circle telling him how amazing he is for doing something expected. As for your charges of self righteousness, well that's pretty silly. When I make a mistake I try to own up to it but don't

@holy holes batman: I agree, lets not go overboard applauding Chen for apologizing for his original article. Apologizing for bad behavior is the minimum and should be expected when a mistake is made. So while some of you are falling over yourselves to congratulate him for this "brave" post, lets remember it wouldn't

@Contaminator: Depends on the airline too. The few times I have been bumped to first, United tells me its based on the empty seat and the number of miles I have only...

@Sluiced: I agree with you I think and the link is informative. First class on international flights seems to be mostly upgrades (that's the only way they've ever let me past the curtain) but business class internationally (employer doesn't cover business domestically) seems to be almost all people traveling on

@Sluiced: I don't know about first class but business class is usually full of people flying for business. They (or their companies) paid full fare. I think saying "the majority" of seats is a huge overstatement.

@tdawgui: Yeah, I see your point. Perhaps I am just mad that none of that stuff ever becomes something I can use! As for the mars base, perhaps in the next boring meeting I'll bring a pad of post its in and start construction of a scale model.

The transparent rotor blades are the bestest part. Why does this type of stuff get posted here? Its like all the Yanko designs... just a silly concept with no chance of seeing the light of day. But if Giz is going to cover this type of stuff who wants to see the design I did while bored in a meeting today for a Mars

@despisethesun: Yeah i understand how percentages work but as fractions not tied to a sample size 1/20 is less than 1/5, that's hard to argue. And your guess at the implication is just that, a guess. Sure your guess makes more sense that the original comment but I think what people we commenting on was more the
