There was a time from 2004 to say 2014, where it felt like each year (give or take a year) brought extraordinary changes to smartphones in general. Now we have a seasoned platform (glass, rectangle, touchscreen, great camera), and the changes that are being added are minor at best. And I really don’t see smartphones…

I bought up each new iPhone as each new generation added crazy new features. Those days are behind us, as there are very few new features that are truly revolutionary. I don’t feel the need to update any more often than every two years, and that is because the battery is starting to go by then...
