In the shot on the invite, you can see the volume rocker clearly from the front. In this design, you wouldn't be able to see it.

Add me to the hate list. I clicked on the Blog view button, which is just OK. Now I have to columns of headlines (I pretend the right one doesn't exist though, and don't even see it now). But every time I click an article, I can't get back to the blog main page view, I have to click the Giz logo and start fresh!

I thought HTC had something with the Shift a few years ago, but they never really developed it. I do think, however, if HTC really decides to be in this space, they will iterate faster than any other company until they get it right.
