It’s an old Peugeot...One does not simply start an old Peugeot.

Holy crap - Kyle Busch in the green car on the bottom, juuuuuust squeaking by.
Question from a non-race fan: Did that one guy that wasn’t old enough to drink avoid the crash?
My take from this is goddamn, Jimmy Johnson is so fucking good. I have no clue how he got punted into another car, then the wall, wrecked his right front, and recovered and drove away from that. Dude’s a jedi master.
What the hell is a wypipo? And I’m middle aged and white and found all of that hilarious. What are you talking about?
I also loved how Larry Wilmore did not give a single fuck about the audience. He straight up did not care about their opinion or their reactions except to laugh at them for being a tough (white) crowd.
I hate Snapchat. I always have and always will. Since I’m on a rant, I hate Vine too.
I don’t think you usually ticket people who are revered.
But...he stopped. So no he wasn’t.
Eddie Brannan is driving.
PS: If someone needs 60 feet to stop a modern car from 25mph then something is seriously wrong with the car or the driver.
So much this - not to mention the 60 feet is the “differential” that the trailing car has to make up to make a contact, as the leading car doesn’t just stop instantaneously.
What they teach in drivers’ ed and put in rules of the road books and traffic school courses often is just made up stuff and it changes over time. They now preach 3 seconds. Why? because they can. It was two seconds in the era of bias ply tires and four wheel manual drum brakes. They can make these things up because…
Just like put-some-turbo-on-meeeeeeeeee says, as long as you have enough gap to stop is all that is needed. Lots of factors play into the gap you should leave such as how distracted you are as a driver (playing with the radio, increase gap), braking abilty of car, weather, etc. Clearly this driver was paying good…
The thing I’ve never understood about brake-checks though is that humans are generally also about self-preservation. Getting rear-ended is exactly the opposite of what you’d want to do ...
I disagree about the safe distance bit. That the cop slammed on their brakes and came to a complete stop, while the trailing car was also able to come to a complete stop and completely avoid contact, that is by definition a safe following distance.
He refused a lawful order to slam into the back of the cop.
He was able to stop with several feet to spare in a situation where coming to a complete stop was entirely unexpected.
He wanted a new Interceptor Explorer.
