Trying to disparage Sangakara’s batting by comparing him to Donald Bradman is like saying that Ichiro sucked because he didn’t hit as well as Ted Williams. He’s the best cricket player his nation has ever produced. (Malinga is excellent, Jayawardene is good, Sangakara is on another level entirely)

Oof this one was ugly, but Jane McGrath was still alive at that point, I believe she had just been rediagnosed.
Perhaps 'big problem' is too strong, but there's definitely something about the sport that seems to affect a number of players, maybe the term depression is just a catchall when it could be a number of other mental health issues.
I don't think it was the sledging that got to Trott, maybe there was more going on with him personally. But it does highlight the big problem with depression in cricket. And by all accounts, the English give as good as they get. I do think it's good that he came out and admitted that he needed to address some issues…
