Run the wires through the wall, into the attic, and then back down the walls. Mount them high and angle them down. If you've got a decent receiver (made in the last 5 years) it should have an auto-surround setting with a microphone that will listen and adjust levels accordingly.

I think zone 2 stuff is more appropriate for bathrooms/kitchens/outdoors areas away from the good stuff.
