@Gameslaya: Valve barely create any original IP's :P Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead, Portal, Counter Strike - all of these were mods that they took under their wing and blossomed into awesome titles.

Gravity gun for the win!

@Alec: Niche reference but I approve :D

My brain hurts just watching that video.

@Slanzinger: True, they also have Luke who's in Australia (I think?), but Europe is a huge chunk of uncovered space that it wouldn't hurt to fill I think :)

@cyruss: I agree. Giz has a few European contributors that write articles at times when all the US guys are pretty much asleep, and they also pick up on stories over here that escape American media. It works well, I don't see why Kotaku wouldn't benefit from the same.

The DARPA initiative's first step towards reclaiming the island... _

Awesome, with some noticeably stolen game sounds :D

I love how it can jump from "about a minute" to "about 11 years" instantly. What a difference that extra character can make!

@KingSnakeX4: Up the apples and pears the dog and bone's ringin!

@Owen Good: Not only have you posted the Dambusters theme tune, you speak like a true Englishman. You have my respect Mr Good.

@dfxdeimos: Possible legal requirements I imagine.

@jdale: Maybe you're right but in this day and age I just didn't think that that kind of pseudo-paranoia had persisted. I actually live in Germany (Brit ex-pat) and I don't get that sense at all.

Not entirely sure why nazi wiretapping is relevant...

@Toshi: I'd be more "HOLY SHIT" if the explosions don't look staged and/or fake ;)

Every single time I visit lifehacker there's something cool like this. Must read more often.

@MattyMattMatt: Sounds like it, they put a particular emphasis on "online co-op" at the end.

@Rell: The first one is delightful. The prettiest, most compelling platformer you'll ever play.
